Enjoy your city tour to visit Mahar Myat Muni Pagoda; it is said this Buddha image is over a millennium old. Buddhists believe that this heavily gilded Maha Muni Buddha is a representation of Buddha, and highly regarded. Shwe In Bin Monastery; built in traditional Burmese fashion is one of the few buildings that have survived the test of time and constructed in 1895 by Chinese merchants, the monastery consists of many impressive woodcarvings and also contains a number of admirable works of art. Mandalay Palace; it was the first palace to be built in Mandalay by King Mindon when he shifted his capital from Amarapura in 1861, to fulfil an old prophecy.

Dress Code: For religious reason, the modest and decent dress is required such as wearing to cover your knees. Shoes must be removed before entering the Pagoda since most religious grounds not allow wearing shoes, sandal, thong or flip-flop and socks. Hats and sunglasses will be useful for tropical zone in Mandalay.
