Be guided around the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school that served as a Khmer Rouge torture centre, and leave the city to the Choueng Ek Memorial. Here you’ll confront an imposing pagoda made of some 8,000 human skulls marking the site of the infamous Killing Fields. Enjoy a typical lunch at a local not-for-profit organisation before continuing on your tour of Phnom Pehn.



Travel like a true local as you begin your tour with a tuk tuk ride across the Japanese Friendship Bridge, from where you catch a ferry across the mighty Mekong River to Mekong Island. Here you can witness silk weavers at work, explore a Buddhist temple and floating fish farms, before tucking into typical khymer snacks at a family home.



Then leave the tuk tuk behind and hop aboard for a sunset boat ride from where you can marvel at Phnom Penh’s Khmer architecture, such as Wat Ounalom, the Royal Palace, and the Silver Pagoda, as well as French Colonial architecture. The tour will come to a close as the sun sets over Phnom Pehn.
