Program details

VVisit historic Ronda and discover one of the most beautiful towns in Spain. Dramatically and precariously perched either side of a 100 metre-deep steep gorge, it is packed with sights, attractions and culture. It combines the charm of a traditional Andalusian whitewashed pueblo with the vibrant atmosphere of a large town. Chance upon a quiet square and wander the narrow medieval streets while admiring Renaissance palaces and baroque churches.

Approached through breathtaking, hilly countryside, Ronda is an enchanting excursion destination. During this full day trip, you will discover the town’s legendary bullring – one of the oldest in the world – and its museum of bullfighting. Then follow the maze of cobbled streets leading to the gorge and the New Bridge, with its awesome and frightening views down to the ravine. Visit the sensational San Juan Bosco House, a modernist palace with colonial and Moorish decorative flourishes. It, too, boasts stunning views over the canyon.

See the Old Bridge, the Philip V Archway that leads to a stone bridge and the unusual Church of Santa Maria, which was built on the ruins of a mosque and has an arcade with two galleries above it. Check out the Mudejar Tower and the cute Casita de la Torre, a blend of Arab, late Gothic and Renaissance styles.

Cap off the day at the Wine Museum, where you will enjoy a guided tour of the Sangre de Ronda Wineries and a tasting. Avail of some free time to explore Ronda at your own pace before returning to Seville.

Meeting point: Pick-up location will be notified at time of booking.
