Program details

It’s like Mother Nature went into overdrive when it came to creating the Blue Mountains during the period the aborigines call ‘the Dreaming’, the beginning of time. So prepare yourself to be overawed by some of the most jaw-dropping scenery in Australia with this panoramic hike. Valleys, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, swamps, caves, rainforests, canyons, lakes, diverse wildlife… she left nothing out. For good measure, humans threw in an abandoned mining village. The Blue Mountains are located about 50km north-west of Sydney and have so much to offer that not everything can be seen in just one day but this bushwalk will take in some truly beautiful trails to Lockley’s Pylon, a distinctive peak offering superb panoramic views over Govett’s Gorge.

You will appreciate just why this fantastic Unesco World Heritage Site has been so important to the aboriginal nations such as the Dharug and Gundungurra who have inhabited the Blue Mountains for thousands of years.

Along the way, discover rock formations known as The Pinnacles, an expansive heath and forests before we are rewarded at the summit with spectacular 360-degree views over the Grose Valley and Mount Hay area.

On this inspiring Blue Mountains hiking tour you will be accompanied by a friendly and professional guide who is passionate about the region. We’ll take a break midway for a delicious lunch and refreshment. Join us for an adventure that’s a breath of fresh air.
