Eastbourne is an attractive and energetic town with a busy night life. It boasts elegant promenades and a Victorian pier that houses a night club and the only Camera Obscura to be found on any pier in the country. Visit the historic Bandstand and the Lifeboat museum, take time to enjoy the beautiful Hollywell Gardens and a must is the stunning views from Beachy. The south Downs were granted National Park status in 2009 and the beaches of Eastbourne were awarded two of the first ever Quality Coast Beach awards in 2007.
