Program details
Hop on a bike and join us for a cycling adventure through the historic streets of Seville. Aimed at the young and young of heart, this is a fun and entertaining way to learn about the city and its main landmarks, from the old Roman walls to right to the heart of the old city.
This tour meanders through enough of Seville for you to see just about everything there is to see – there really is nothing handier than a bike for exploring a city like Seville!
Cross six bridges, pedal along the river banks, ride through parks, savour the city’s legendary food markets, bow before its array of great monuments, get into the spirit of things in the popular Triana district, dance a Macarena at Macarena… there is so much to see and do. Throughout the tour, the guide will pause and talk about the history, the sights and attractions in an interesting way.
The fun starts in Santa Cruz, the former Jewish quarter famed for its narrow, whitewashed alleys. You’ll ride through the Parque Maria Luisa – where the Plaza de España, aka Theed in Star Wars, is located – and across the river to Triana, all along the quays until Alameda. Admire the vast Andalusian Parliament building, which mixes Spanish Renaissance, baroque and mannerist styles, and is located in the colourful district Macarena, before cycling back to Santa Cruz.
Meeting point: Friday 7pm and Saturday 10am at the Bicihouse Shop, Plaza Santa Cruz. Also available 24/7 for groups (minimum four cyclists). Tour lasts between three and four hours.
Languages: English and Spanish, with Polish, Italian, Portuguese, Czech and Swedish also available for groups.
Restrictions: Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
