Program details

The Small Carpathian is a wine growing region located on the southeastern slopes of the Little Carpathians Mountains. It is one of eight wine growing regions in Slovakia. Approximately 22 miles from Bratislava, we will visit the Red Stone Castle which towers above the village of Casta. Afterwards we will visit the historic town of Modra before enjoying a city tour of Pezinok. Visit a Majolica Pottery workshop where pottery is made and sold. A worker will show you how the pottery is made as well as give you the opportunity to make and decorate your own stoneware. There will be plenty of free time for lunch and on the return journey to Bratislava we will stop at Svaty Jur for a wine tasting of the region´s wines in a stylish wine cellar. During the tasting you will also get a snack of local Slovakian products from the region such as bread and cheese or salami and fruit. Upon arrival in Bratislava you will be returned to your hotel or the city center.
