This trip gives you a taster of Greece’s second biggest city, Thessaloniki. Only few kilometers before we get into town we will visit one or the most well-known winery in Greece ''TSADALIS''. There we will have the opportunity to be guides in the winery and learn all the details of wine make process. Having in our mind these entire interesting information smells and pictures we will continue our way to Thessaloniki. The city founded 3,000 years ago, it’s a big, bustling place crammed with historic sights, shops and restaurants. Kicking things off is a guided tour of its most impressive sights. Check out the Basilica of St. Demetrios, the largest church in Greece and home to rich medieval mosaics. Take a look at the acropolis walls and fine Archaeological Museum, admiring its displays of Macedonian gold, Roman floor mosaics and statues. After that, there are several hours to explore in your own way. Walk round the cobbled upper town, enjoying the views over Thessaloniki bay. Dive into the designer boutiques of Tsmiski Street. Sample ‘meze’ and fresh fish at the waterfront restaurants. Or do your own history tour, exploring the White Tower, a 15th century watchtower stuffed with Byzantine icon, and the Galeria Arch, a huge Roman triumphal arch in the heart of the city. Greece is up and coming on the wine scene, this tour is a great way to taste and buy at the winery.
