The South Bank Parklands are located on the bank of the Brisbane River on the other side of the City. They consist of a mixture of rainforest, grassed areas, water, plazas, restaurants, shops and fountains. They frequently host large scale events and festivals. Some of the attractions include: the riverfront promenade, the Streets Beach, the Grand Arbour, the Courier Mail Piazza, the Nepal Peace Pagoda, the Queensland Conservatorium and the Wheel of Brisbane.
