Drive to Amarpaura; one of the capitals of the third Myanmar Empire to seeing the U Bein Bridge; it is one of the most attractive spots for tourists, the longest teak bridge in the world and it is about two centuries old. Next stop, you will visit the Silk Weaving Industry that it is very famous here before proceeding to Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study. Observe the lunch process of hundreds of Buddhist monk if time permits. Then we will continue to Inwa (Ava) it is a small town in the south of Amarapura. Upon arrival in Inwa, take the horse-cart through the Inwa archaeological zone to the Grand Bargaya Monastery; its famous collection of Buddha images from different periods. Proceed to the pier and cross the river by boat to Sagaing on the west shore of the river. The Sagaing Hills are noted as a religious retreat and have over 400 monasteries and nunneries. About 10 km from Sagaing is the Kaunghmudaw, an enormous dome-shaped pagoda built by King Thalun in 1636. At the nearby village of Ywataung, one can see silversmiths making silverware by traditional methods. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Late afternoon, you will return to the hotel.
