Program details
The Flight of the Gibbon experience begins with a minivan pick-up at your hotel. Transfer to Mae Kampong, 50 Km northeast of Chiang Mai, a small community surrounded by lush forest and tea plantations. The unique Flight of the Gibbon experience consists in "flying" down a series of cables (zip lines) being secured by a harness, jumping from wooden platforms built on the tallest trees. Some parts of the tour involve walking along sky bridges suspended above the canopy, standing on viewing platforms, abseiling down ropes to the forest floor or clambering over cargo nets. The overall experience is fun, exciting and suitable for all ages. Two rangers, who will educate about the jingle flora and fauna and ensure that every step is completed in absolute safety, will accompany the group. It is an amazing and unique experience, as you will be sharing the treetops of a natural sanctuary with the protected inhabitants of the forest and watching them live in their natural habitat. After the track is completed, a Thai lunch with locally farmed coffee is included in the price. The Flight of the Gibbon experience is usually completed in 3 hours. The trip ends back at the hotel by minivan.
