Program details

The Bukchon Hanok Village is the city's old town located between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. Thanks to if the difference in levels, lower land in the south than in the north, this fascinating village boasts a viewpoint where you can enjoy the stunning landscape of Mt. Namsan and a forest of skyscrapers. This was the reason why noble families and high-ranking officials of the Josun dynasty lived in North village.

Bukchon's concentration of hanoks (traditional houses) and winding alleys bring a mystical feel to the city with a labyrinth of terraced homes. Everyday life in Hanok takes place not only within the houses but also outside in the alleys where you will be likely to see the locals chatting amongst themselves.

There used to be only 30 traditional houses with the black tile roof left but people and government have worked to keep this town as it was originally to allow the tourists to discover how people used to live during in the Chosun dynasty.

Bukchon is called "The Street Museum", and it's easy to see why. Discover over 600 years of Seoul's cultural history as you travel back in time as you journey through the charming Bukchon Hanok Village.

Make the most of 8 photo stops, where you can take the more impressive photos of Bukchon. What's more, don’t miss the Choongang High School, well known for the Korean drama Winter Sonata that Yong Jun Bae and Jiwoo Choi played.
