Program details

The Outback and Camel Safari features a drive through the spectacular scenery of the desert, a trek through the Rancho San Cristobal, tequila tasting and, in winter months, the possibility of whale watching. Among the more astonishing sights will be cacti that are hundreds of years old and as tall as four-storey houses.

The adventure begins with a scenic 4x4 drive though the desert in an open-air Unimog truck. Once at the ranch, the guides will take you on a gentle nature walk through the desert that will allow you to discover indigenous flora and fauna.

Enjoy an unforgettable camel ride on the beach where you will get to ride along the sands as you hear the waves lapping against the shoreline. (During the winter months you may even spot a humpback whale breaching the water!)

Tuck into the best of Mexican food with a mouth-watering lunch at a local ranch, where you can savour hand-made tortillas, beans and salsas before enjoying a tequila tasting session where you will learn about how this regional spirit is made and about the different types of tequila. You will also taste mescal, famous for having a worm in the bottle, and learn how it is different from tequila.

**Please note that entrance fees for the park are not included and must be paid on arrival (USD 25 per person, payable at check-in and subject to change).
