Program details

Departing Invergordon, we travel to our first stop of the day, Cawdor Castle (ticket not included). Set amid beautiful gardens in Nairnshire, Cawdor Castle is the ancestral home of the Campbells and dates back to the 15th Century. Spend time here exploring the castle and its picturesque surroundings.

We then leave Nairnshire and journey on to Inverness; Capital of the Highlands. We spend over an hour here, plenty of time to enjoy lunch (not included) and walk along the banks of the River Ness and perhaps get some good views of Inverness Castle.

From Inverness, our Invergordon shore excursion continues on to Loch Ness for a quick photo and refreshment break, allowing you the opportunity for a quick bit of Nessie Hunting!

We then travel to Beauly, a small Highland town situated on the scenic River Beauly. Beauly gets its name from the French beau lieu, meaning “beautiful place” – it is believed that this came from a comment from Mary Queen of Scots when she visited the town in 1564. We pause here for photos before our shore excursion moves on to our last stop of the day; Glen Ord Distillery.

Glen Ord is the only remaining single malt whisky distillery situated in the Black Isle and is the home of Singleton Whisky. Enjoy a tour of the distillery, finishing off your Invergordon Shore Excursion with a tasting of the Singleton of Glen Ord 12 year old whisky (whisky and Glen Ord Distillery not included)

We then return to Invergordon, where your Inverness, Cawdor Castle & Highland Whisky shore excursion ends.
