Day 1

Begin your tour with a view of Cuernavaca, a city close to Mexico City with a cool and warm climate, and lush vegetation, and recognized as the Beverly Hills of Mexico. As you explore the "City of Eternal Spring", you will visit incredible attractions such as the Palace of Cortes, built in the time of the Spanish Conquest, the Cuernavaca Cathedral, and the Monument of Morelos, among others. After touring this beautiful city, you will enjoy the scenery as we continue toward Taxco.

This small city, with its cobbled streets, shaded squares, and vibrant markets, was once known throughout the world as the "Silver Town". Step inside a silver mine and learn how the different alloys are made. After lunch (optional) there will be plenty of time to make the most of this lively city and you can even purchase some of the handmade precious jewels and crafts, before heading back to Mexico City.

Day 2

Depart from Mexico City to our first destination: Cholula. On the way, you will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes that include the Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes, considered Mexico's most impressive, and listen as your guide tells you about the romantic pre-Hispanic legend behind them. Discover Cholula's amazing historical and colonial buildings and admire its main pyramid, considered to be the largest pyramid in the world! because each one of its sides is 400 meters in length! Climb to the top of the pyramid where you will see the church of the Virgin of the Remedies built by the Spaniards during the conquest, before making your way to the Baroque-style church of Santa Maria de Tonantzintla, an impressive religious building adorned with gold leaves and period decorations.

Continue with a journey to Puebla where you will taste delicious Mexican food (optional) and you will enjoy an eye-opening walking tour of the magnificent Historical Centre. As you stroll around the city, you will come across the city's most important landmarks and colonial buildings such as the Chapel of the Rosary, the Church of Santo Domingo, Plaza de Armas and El Parián, Puebla’s largest and only traditional handcraft market. As you meander the cobbled street you will learn about the interesting history behind Talavera pottery, as well as have the chance to pick up typical souvenirs such as sweets, wooden toys, food, and wonderful Mexican handicrafts from one of the many shops.
