The Royal Windsor Steam Express

Sit back, relax and let the romance of steam travel whisk you away to a bygone era as you travel to one of the UK’s most popular destinations, the stunning venue for Harry and Meghan’s special day in 2018. Our steam train journey is one-way, giving you the flexibility to spend as much time in LEGOLAND as you like. On return you can take any South Western Railway commuter train back on the same day, between Windsor & Eton Riverside and London's Waterloo station.

The Route

Starting out from London Victoria we pass many of London famous landmarks. As we head towards the leafy suburbs, crossing the Thames at least once, we pass reservoirs and lakes to reach Windsor & Eton Riverside Station, designed by William Tite for the London & South Western Railway (LSWR) as a royal station.

Windsor

Crowned by Windsor Castle and linked by the River Thames, Windsor has a rich mix of history, culture, heritage and fun. Windsor is a town full of history and charm as you will discover when you visit. The town is dominated by Windsor Castle which is over 900 years old and the largest inhabited castle in the world!

Shuttle bus between Windsor & Eton Riverside station & LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

On arrival at Windsor & Eton Riverside station take the shuttle bus provided by Courtney's Buses from the stop right outside the train station. The bus stop is clearly sign-posted from inside the train station and station staff are happy to help direct you.

Services depart regularly and guests should take bus numbers 702 and 703 year round (also bus 600 in summer). The bus tickets will be provided with the joining details on the day. The bus tickets are open returns allowing guests to take any departure to LEGOLAND Windsor Resort and any returning service from LEGOLAND back to Windsor & Eton Riverside station, on the same day. Bus tickets are valid on one day only.
