Wadis and Mountains - Wadi Abyadh and Wekan Village

Program details

The tour heads towards Barka, where we will visit the Camel Breeding farm, which is home to 100's of Omani's thoroughbreds. We then proceed to Wadi Abyadh. On the way see a picturesque village set among date plantations. Enjoy the crystal clear rock pools and experience an adrenaline rush with some wadi bashing. Later we travel to Wadi Mistal, which cuts through the Hajar Mountain Ranges. After 30 km drive through the wadi, we reach the face of the mountain where there are two villages, Hadash and Wekan. We will take a picnic lunch here. After the lunch we turn towards the right and drive up the sleep and winding rock, to visit the agricultural village of Wekan, which is 1700m above sea level. Marvel at the beautiful landscape and enjoy the cool and pleasant weather here. You will find pomegranates, grapes, walnuts, apricots and dates are also grown here. Then we return to the Muscat.
