Il programma nel dettaglio

Ride the rails north through some of the world's most rugged and beautiful scenery to discover wonderful Whistler and the awe-inspiring Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Museum. The three-hour Sea to Sky Climb train takes you chugging through 2,200 metre (7,000ft) peaks past vistas of the vast Pacific. From the glacial fjord of Howe Sound you’ll be glued to the window until you pull into the station at world-famous Whistler, over 600 metres (2,000ft) above sea level.

This pretty resort town made a picturesque backdrop to many events in the 2010 Winter Olympics, with its alpine chalets and snow-covered crags. You’re free to stroll through the peaceful village, pick up some gifts, and soak up the small town atmosphere. Or take to the skies with exclusive reduced price tickets for a ride on the world record Peak 2 Peak Gondola, linking two mountains and offering breathtaking views.

Finally, visit the new Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Museum, the very first museum of its kind dedicated to the local Squamish and Lil’wat peoples. The beautiful building is based on traditional indigenous buildings, and inside you’ll find a treasure trove of cultural artefacts, informative footage and photography, as well as a café serving delicious indigenous-inspired foods such as baked sage and cheddar bannocks. Learn about the incredible spirituality, art and technology of the Squamish and Lil’wat peoples, and their remarkable relationship with the awesome rainforests of the north. Return by bus along the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway with a stop to visit Shannon Falls, a 335-metre (1,000ft) waterfall cascading down among virgin forest into Howe Sound.
