Start in the morning from Bangkok. The first stop will be at Woodland - Woodland is built on more than 100 rai of land which is located in Nakhon Prathom province approximately 1 hour drive from Bangkok. It is very famous for the wood carving display which is the collection of Narong Thephaingam (President of the Executive Committee of Thewphaingam School) and his ancestors.
In the gallery there are 7 sections, start from Rootstock Room, Wild Life Room, Woodmen Room, Dragon Cave Room, Abyss Room, Twilight Room and Hindu Room. Each room has a different theme of wood carving art. Enjoy delicious Thai set lunch. Continue to Donwai Market - Donwai market has been around for over a hundred years. It has become popular as a daytrip from Bangkok.
This market has all sorts of great tasting foods. You will find all sorts of sweets, fresh fish, fish dishes, chicken products, fresh fruits, dried fruits and vegetables, snack etc. We walk along the market on the riverbank which has numerous stalls and enjoy tasting some of the local famous dishes. Then take a boat trip along the Tha Chin River, it’s a good way to relax and enjoy some natural air-conditioning and observe river life along the banks.
