Discover Bangkok’s jungle by bike and experience a hidden paradise in the heart of the city. This bicycle tour is ideal for those who want to try something different in Bangkok, combining markets, parks, nature, local life, and cycling. There is something for everyone to enjoy, as you’ll pedal at an easy pace and take time stopping to explore and learn about the sights and surroundings.
BACKSTREETS, PARKS & EXOTIC MARKET
Our driver picks you up at your Bangkok hotel and drives you to our Sukhumvit Office, where your guide will meet you. Your leisurely Bangkok bike tour begins via the local back streets to Queen Sirikit Park and goes further into Khlong Toei Market. This local gem is Thailand’s biggest fresh food market, with hundreds of stalls selling everything from raw meat and vegetables to fruit and seafood. They even have a selection of exotic food, like eels, bugs, silkworms, field rats, and snails. Prepare to be amazed by your visit to this busy market, where the locals flock in search of the best bargains.
BOAT TOUR, BANG KRAJAO & LOCAL LIFE
Further on, your guide will take you to the pier at Chao Phraya River, where you board our longtail boat and make the river crossing to Bang Krajao Island, also named the Green Lung of Bangkok. You will quickly feel that this island in many ways is different from downtown Bangkok. Everything is quieter, local, and very tranquil: a wilderness of lush green jungle, mangroves, gardens, and nature. It's a wonderful place to ride a bicycle and breathe the fresh air. Further on, we head to the elevated pathways through coconut plantations, canals, and local communities. If you’re lucky, you can spot some wildlife on this ride, too. Including birds, turtles, and monitor lizards.
*On weekends, the tour also includes a visit to the local Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market
THAI FOOD
After some great biking experiences and before heading back downtown, you will stop in to have a nice Thai lunch or early dinner at a local restaurant. You will be served a delicious Thai meal (included) in addition to what is provided for you along the whole tour: water, fruit, and local snacks.
