Get a different perspective on Auckland in this awesome climb to the top of the 1km long Auckland Harbour Bridge. In just 90 minutes you'll traverse custom engineered walkways in a safe, enjoyable and exhilarating experience, suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Enjoy Auckland to the fullest with 360-degree views from the summit, in the company of an experienced local guide.

This iconic eight-lane motorway bridge over the Waitemata Harbour first opened to traffic in 1958, joining St Mary's Bay in Auckland with Northcote. It is 1020m long with a main span of over 243.8m rising 67m over the water and is known affectionately by locals as the coat hanger.

You'll feel like Spiderman as you traverse the specially built walkways in this 90 minute climb to the top of the bridge. Stylishly converted walkways make for an easy ascent and ladders and curving arches add to the thrill of being almost 67 metres above the water. Your experienced guide will provide you with the lowdown on the bridge's fascinating secrets and amazing architectural features as Auckland's incredible sights are showcased far below you.

Nothing can prepare you for the views from the summit. The 360 degree views of Auckland's bustling harbour with its many islands and fantastic seascapes, and the vibrant skyline of the city in the distance make for a truly unforgettable experience.

Duration: Around two hours
Start/opening time: 9am, 11.30am and 2.30pm. Bus departs from Maritime Museum five minutes prior to these times so please be there early.
