Il programma nel dettaglio

Sample the varied and wonderful sights and sounds of Hong Kong Island with this location-packed half-day tour. You will discover all the major attractions and gain a full overview of the island, its history and its culture.

Hong Kong Island is where the process of colonisation all began more than 170 years ago. Back then, there were just a few thousand islanders dotted around a scattered bunch of fishing villages. Now, it is the heartbeat of a thriving and modern metropolis and with the city continuing to change at a breakneck pace, this tour enables you to refresh old memories or, if you’re a first-time visitor, create new ones. You will visit some of the island’s most emblematic locations, which are so evocative of Hong Kong’s rich and colourful history. These include Aberdeen Harbour, one of the first areas of colonial settlement and now home to a floating village of some 600 junks, housing approximately 6,000 people, as well as a host of floating seafood restaurants. After visiting a jewellery factory, we will pass by exclusive Repulse Bay, formerly a base from which pirates operated and now one of Hong Kong’s most expensive housing quarters. Next we spend time at famous Stanley Market, a typical example of a traditional open-air Hong Kong market, well known for its bargains. Finally we take the funicular tram up to Victoria Peak where jaw-dropping views may be had of the harbour and the surrounding area.

This is an ideal half-day introduction to one of the most dynamic and densely-populated corners of the planet.
