Il programma nel dettaglio

Styria is a scenic region of cultivated flatlands, rolling hills with vineyards, and quaint towns and villages. On this day trip to eastern Slovenia, we stop at Slovenske Konjice, a lovely little old town, and continue to the nearby Žiče, where we visit an old charterhouse, the first of its kind outside French and Italian borders.

Maribor is situated on the banks of the Drava river, in the middle of a hilly wine-growing area. The city's character is utterly different from that of Ljubljana. On your tour of the city, renowned, among other things, for the world's oldest vine, planted 440 years ago, you can decide on your own for enjoying a glass or two. You will then continue to Ptuj, the oldest Slovenian city, that was a flourishing town already back in Roman times. Today, its unique character is mainly due to its medieval city centre and the Castle.

Option with wine tasting:

A walk through the old town of Maribor, combined with some wine tasting, makes this trip a true highlight of your Slovenian tour.

We stop at a wine grower’s farm where you can sample some wine right at the source. Maribor, one of the top attractions in Slovenia, is the home of the Old Vine, which, at 400 years old, is the oldest grapevine in the world, as marked in the Guinness book of records.
